A highlight of a visit to the Old Post Office Pavilion is always a 360-degree picturesque view of Washington. From the observation deck of the 315-foot granite Clock Tower, you can enjoy the city's second highest vantage point after the Washington Monument. The Clock Tower also houses the Congressional Bells, a bicentennial gift from Great Britain to the U.S. Congress. Modeled after the bells of Westminster Abbey, they were cast at the famed Whitechapel Bell Foundry in London. The Washington Ringing Society sounds them on special occasions as well as Thursday evenings. The National Park Service offers free daily tours of the Clock Tower.
